We had just moved into our new house after becoming newly weds and our home was almost completely perfect. There were a few things around the house that my wife was always wanting me to change. One item that particularly came up a lot was our kitchen sink didn’t have enough room to wash some of the larger items that we frequently use. For one, the current nozzle on our sink would frequently block our larger cookware from entering the sink. Sometimes I’d see my wife taking the spaghetti strainer and the large boiling pots to our restroom to wash in the tub. One time I asked her, “Are you making dinner in the bathroom tonight honey?” She said, “Well you wouldn’t have to wash spaghetti sauce off our shampoo bottles every night if our kitchen sink was big enough to wash these in!”
That was all I needed to hear before I was in the home improvement store browsing the kitchen faucets. A lot of them had nice designs, but the Delta Ashton 19922-SSSD-DST caught my eye right away. None of the others were as sleek and smooth as the Delta Ashton 19922-SSSD-DST, and it just generally had a really sophisticated look and feel to it. I had never really shopped for kitchen faucets before, so I really had no idea what features I was supposed to be looking for. A salesperson was ready to help and I asked which features he thought were important. The salesperson asked me some questions to identify which features would be useful for me. He asked was if we ever washed large cookware, to which I answered an emphatic “Yes!” He recommended a faucet that had an elongated nozzle that would allow larger items to enter the sink without damage to the cookware or the sink or faucet. I thought this sounded great but I still needed a little more encouragement if I was going to spend over $200 dollars on a faucet.

The next feature he touched on was convenience. He asked if we liked having hand soap readily available to wash our hands. I began recalling the bottles of hand soap that had graced our kitchen counter throughout the years. In addition to cluttering our already small kitchen counter, these bottles always seemed to get extra grimy and, after a few weeks, would begin looking worn with the sticker label coming off and dirt spill stains running down the sides of the bottle. The whole thing with soap is that it’s supposed to make something clean, but these bottles didn’t look like they’d make you clean; if anything they might make you dirtier! So I answered, “Yes.” The salesperson said he’d experienced the same issue in his home. At this point he began showing me the Delta Ashton 19922-SSSD-DST. He said it has a built in stainless-steel soap dispenser which comes in handy when kitchen counter space is limited. As he was showing me the faucet, another customer walked by and asked, “Are you looking at that faucet?” pointing to the Delta Ashton. I said yes and he gave his review: “Best faucet ever!”
I had heard enough to decide that the Delta Ashton 19922-SSSD-DST was the right faucet for me. I immediately requested that faucet be brought to the front of the store for my speedy purchase. Installation of the faucet was a lot easier than I thought it’d be, even for someone lacking in the area of plumbing such as myself. If you haven’t had the chance to try this faucet out, I advise you to go to your nearest home supply store and do it! The only bad thing I could see about this faucet is the price tag of almost $200, but it really adds a lot to the value of your kitchen. We would recommend the Delta Ashton 19922-SSSD-DST to everyone!
